Miscellaneous Projects

I occasionally do design for small or one-off projects. Just because they're small projects, though, doesn't mean that they're any less interesting. I hope you enjoy them.

Tote Bag

When I was writing for The Free Peach, I was asked to design an NPR-style tote bag that we could sell as merch.

Album cover

The band I played bass for in high school (The Extra Articles) recorded a short EP of jazz standards. We called it my brother's ex-girlfriend's mixtape, and I designed the cover for it. I'm a much better musician now than I was then, but we had a lot of fun.

RECIPE BOOK

Some years back I typed up all the recipes my family kept in a big binder. Some of them are family recipes, some of them are from friends, and some are by professional recipe developers. It's convenient to have them in an online format though. Here's the cover page I made for the book. If you want to check it out, click here

instagram infographics

I, um, don't have a great explanation for why these exist. I was thinking about the much-mocked overuse of infographics for social causes on Instagram. I was also thinking about the cinematic ouvre of Lindsey Lohan, for some reason. I made the link that some of Lindsey Lohan's more famous movies (Mean Girls, Freaky Friday, The Parent Trap, and Herbie: Fully Loaded) could provide fodder for such infographics. (I also thought it would be funny to make the link.) Each infographic references a direct quote or plot point from the movie in question. Again, there's no really good reason for them existing, but they are pretty decent graphic design. I couldn't pass up including them on this page.
